We all know someone who is ‘cool’.
And more annoyingly, we all know someone who is either fat, skinny, short or kinda odd looking – but still cool.
How do they do it?
A lot of it comes from body language – you’d be amazed at what happens inside our minds before anyone says anything: subconsciously we’re already sorting out the pecking order.
Let me give you an example of what I mean. It’s going to sound odd – but it’s foolproof.
Next time you have a few minutes to yourself, go to a coffee shop and ‘people watch’ You’re waiting for someone to drop something – a spoon, napkins, keys, anything – then watch who picks it up.
If they are male, and could have picked up it themselves – but another male picks it up (doesn’t matter if they know each other), it’s not hard to tell who is more ‘alpha’. Then watch their body language. You’ll see the alpha doing one particular trait which is below.
If a girl drops something, and a guy picks it up – we’ll that’s just completely different. If he uses it as a chance to get talking, again watch his body language.
You can even accidentally ‘drop’ stuff at college or at the office. See who picks it up. It’s kinda fun.
Anyhow – here’s the trait pretty much all Alphas display – and any skinny guy can do it.
It’s just this: occupy space.
Take up as much space as you can. Sit with your knees apart. Rest your arms out on the sofa. Where ever you are, standing or sitting – take up more than you need… you get the idea.
I know it sounds odd. But next time you see that cool fat kid or that cool short kid, just watch. I’ll bet you the shirt on my back, whether they know it or not, they’ll be ‘occupying space’.
Using body language, being well groomed (there’s a right way to dress if you’re skinny – see the earlier blogs) will do a lot to hide your skinnyness until your training program kicks in. Follow one with venom and passion, and they don’t take long. But they don’t happen overnight either. Results come from sticking with it.
