Recovery days – use the sauna

Saunas help muscle growth in a number ways (which is fortunate because I love them).

Firstly, they relax the muscles because the heat increases your blood flow and distribution of oxygen, which helps your recovery.

You also sweat buckets. And sweating is good: it helps get rid of the toxins in your body.

But here’s the biggie: studies show growth hormone levels increase with regular saunas.

So on your recovery days when you’re aching and feeling a cold coming on – run for the sauna.
